The water content is high at the top and the methanol content is high at the bottom of the methanol-water separation tower; how to adjust this?
Increase the bottom temperature and reduce backflow. When maintaining an old tower, it is necessary to disassemble it in order to check its internal condition; such towers are generally quite severely corroded and require cleaning
The common reason for insufficient distillation accuracy is to increase both the reflux and the heat source at the bottom of the tower, thereby increasing the gas and liquid phases inside the tower and enhancing mass and heat transfer. It is also possible that there are significant changes in the composition of the feed material; this usually occurs when recovering methanol aqueous solutions, where the methanol content is high, and light hydrocarbons may even be present. This will disrupt the normal operations inside the tower

First, adjust the water content at the top of the tower to maintain a constant inlet volume, increase the methanol reflux rate; then adjust the methanol content at the bottom, increase the steam supply, and strictly control the temperature and pressure at the bottom of the tower
