Regarding MD trays

I have just switched from reformed aromatics to PX; the plant is currently under construction. We currently have two feed towers, and the A8 stripping tower as well as the second extractant tower are equipped with MD trays. This is the first time I’ve encountered such trays – I’ve never seen them before. Since the contractor doesn’t have any information regarding these trays either, my supervisor has asked me to prepare training materials for the new employees. I’m seeking advice from those who are more experienced regarding everything related to MD trays! It would be best to have the file type. Thank you

Have anyone encountered any problems while using this type of tray? Is there any difference in the operation of a tower compared to a regular floating valve tower?
I’m going through old posts and would like to ask everyone for advice. The plant is currently shut down for various reasons. During previous UOP calibrations, it was found that when the load was increased to 95%, flooding occurred in Tower No. 2. After shutting down the plant and conducting an inspection, it was discovered that the holes in the trays of Tower No. 2 were severely blocked. I would like to ask if there are any good methods for cleaning MD trays; completely removing the tray assembly to clean it might not be sufficient given the time constraints.
