Oil discharge from circulating hydrogen desulfurization tower

In our diesel-to-hydrogen conversion unit, the liquid separation tank before the desulfurization tower is filled with liquid to a significant extent. I would like to ask everyone: how often should the light hydrocarbons that enter the desulfurization tower be removed? We have been in operation for 3 years now, and we haven’t done this once.
It seems like it shouldn’t be possible to get it out! If it were discharged, the desulfurizer would have long turned to dust by now
