Treatment of coking inside the tower

During our current construction work, the vacuum tower of the anthracene oil hydrogenation unit is suffering from severe coking due to high temperatures; this coking has merged with the corrugated packing, making it extremely difficult to clean. Is there anyone with relevant experience or methods who could offer some guidance? I’m waiting urgently, thank you:handshake
It has been confirmed that the tar can only be removed manually; there is still a way to deal with asphalt
It can only be cleaned manually; mechanical cleaning will ruin the filler
I don’t need the filler anymore; I’d like to replace it with a new one. What kind of machinery can be used for the mechanical cleaning you mentioned?
How about the method commonly used in tubular furnaces, which involves heating with fire and then blowing with steam? Will it work?
