If the overhead air cooling in a distillation tower stops during normal operation, what series of changes will occur? More specifically????
When cooling stops, the gas phase cannot be cooled; the most immediate consequence is an increase in the pressure at the top of the tower, leading to overpressure and the activation of the safety valve. All the materials have disappeared.
