I just graduated and started working at the coking plant*. I have a question: if there are changes in the heat extracted from the coking distillation tower, for example, if more heat is extracted from the wax oil, how will this affect the amount and properties of the products obtained? I would appreciate some guidance from the experts

I think that if too much heat is absorbed by the paraffin oil, the most direct effect will be a decrease in the amount of diesel extracted from the upper part; at the same time, the dry point of the diesel will drop. I’m not sure if this is correct
