The mass fraction of ethanol in the raw material is 15%
I simulated a two-effect extraction distillation column; however, when using design methods, the purity of the final product cannot reach 99.5% – it can only reach around 95%. Glycerol is used as the extractant
This is very simple: first concentrate it to 95 vol.%, then separate it using an extraction distillation system with ethylene glycol as the heavy entrainer.
