Dear experts, the cooling effect of the air cooler in the methanol distillation atmospheric tower of our company is poor in summer. The original design was to install a water cooler after the air cooler. However, in actual operation, the effect of the water cooler was not good. The amount of methanol vapor entering the water cooler was small. Is there a problem with the water cooler setting? See attached figure for flow chart.

Air cooling effect is not good? Can't meet usage requirements?
It depends on your process whether part of the air-cooled methanol vapor does not enter the water cooler for condensation, right? If so, it means that your water cooler does not completely condense the incoming methanol vapor, causing high resistance. You can add a U-shaped pipe to the outlet pipe of the water cooler so that the outlet does not directly enter the return tank below.
There is a valve at the outlet of the on-site water cooler. Is it okay to turn down the outlet valve?
