In recent days, due to the continuous reduction in the reaction unit’s output, the operational flexibility of the distillation stabilization unit has become increasingly limited, resulting in a somewhat high temperature at the top of the stabilizer. Both the air cooling and water cooling are enabled, and the temperature at the bottom of the tower is not high either. One air cooler is turned on at night for cooling; during the day today, all eight air coolers were in use, yet the maximum temperature remained high. I was wondering, is it simply due to the hot weather and high temperatures? Great master, please give me some advice! Thank you! ! !
As the processing load changes, the absorption dose needs to be adjusted accordingly. In your case, it’s definitely an over-absorption issue, caused by high levels of non-condensable gases in the liquefied gas.
Is the pressure at the top of the tower stable? You can try venting the non-condensable gas. Change the feed inlet of the stabilizer to a lower one in order to increase the pressure in the stabilizer!
After the system capacity was reduced, the amount of absorbent added also decreased slightly, probably due to the small scale of the reduction. Another issue is the significant fluctuations in gas volume during analysis. Fluctuating by 2000 Nm3/h.
In principle, the feed inlet is not used as a means for adjustment, as this relates to maintaining the vapor pressure and the C5 components in the liquefied gas, with significant impacts. Try releasing the non-condensable gas.
The problem is likely still excessive absorption, which causes parsing difficulties, along with the difficulty in cooling the non-condensable gas
The tower top temperature is high; don’t keep increasing the reflux
With high upper load and high top temperature, as well as high stability of the sensitive plate, considering feeding more material or reducing the feed temperature to the stabilizer tower might be an option.
1. Check whether the heat exchanger is leaking. 2. Excessive analysis has caused the light components to circulate. 3. Check the quality of the stable vapor and liquefied gas, and adjust the operation of the stabilizer tower
