Analyzing the reason, I personally feel that it is the influence of water vapor in the tower on the belt that makes it easy to slip. When the fan is running, I open the door and find water droplets flying upward. ; As for the belt, only the motor pulley has a cover, and the rest are basically open-air. ; It is more obvious on rainy days, and the direct current drops significantly during heavy rain. This structure is probably the advantage of a small footprint. After all, our factory is very large. A large number of other cooling tower fans are in the form of long-axis couplings and do not use belts. I don’t know if this type of fan is used in your installation.
