What is the structure of the bottom section of the methanol thermal regeneration tower in low-temperature methanol washing? What is the function of a partition?
The trays in the methanol regeneration tower generally adopt a combined guided floating valve tray structure. The methanol regeneration tower in our plant has 36 trays in total: layers 1–26 use a two-fluid flow pattern, while layers 27–36 use a single-fluid flow pattern. The original poster is mainly wondering about the function of the partition below the tray, right? The baffle divides the area below the first tray of the regeneration tower into a cold zone and a hot zone; the side connected to the reboiler is the hot zone, while the side connected to the condensed methanol liquid is the cold zone.
