After expanding the capacity of the packed tower by 130% as per the original design, the flooding point was found to be 0.86. Without changing the tower diameter, how can this flooding point be reduced?

Changing operating conditions involves establishing a multi-variable operational model, which requires multiple experiments in the laboratory to develop. The drawings from the design institute are merely a manifestation of the engineering work.
Pressure adjustment is also an approach that can be considered.
Replace the packing and distributor, and engage a professional manufacturer to conduct process simulation.
