Dear experts, 1. Why are 77 trays in the atmospheric pressure column designated as sensitive trays? 2. What are the reasons for the increase in the top pressure of the pressurized column? 3. What are the reasons for the increase in the pressure in the flash tank?
1. The setting of the sensitive tray is related to the concentration of component separation. 2 and 3 should refer to your operating procedures, as there those answers that are more suitable for you!
Sensitivity plate: It is more sensitive to various operational changes at the top and bottom of the tower, and thus more affected by product quality. Different distillation columns have different positions of the sensitive plates due to variations in their design parameters.
They were all developed through model calculations for the tower internals during the design phase
1. The temperature of the sensitive plate can be determined through frequent observation and analysis during actual production. The value of 77 layers mentioned seems to be a figure determined through simulation, but this is not necessarily the case in actual production; changes in this value can lead to changes in product quality quite rapidly; 2. Insufficient feed to the atmospheric pressure tower, too little cooling water at the top of the pressurized tower, and excessive heat load at the bottom of the tower can all cause an increase in the pressure of the steam at the top of the tower ; 3. Are there pressure control valves installed at the gas outlet at the top of the flash tank? If the pressure rises at the same setting of the control valve, it indicates that the flow rate of the flash vapor has increased, and more gases are dissolved in the alcohol.
