The latest anti-corrosion technology for xylene towers abroad uses the surfacing method, and there are actual application cases overseas; it has been used in PTTGC: 2540 V4 with notable results.
The p-xylene tower is not exposed to corrosive substances, and the pressure is not high (not exceeding 1.5 MPa); therefore, the internal anti-corrosion measures consist of routine rust removal and oxidation prevention； After welding with Q345R as the base material, heat treatment is considered when the wall thickness exceeds 30 mm; no special treatments were observed.
Our company currently possesses repair technology for p-xylene towers (it’s likely distillation towers; I’m not entirely sure), which has been used in Thailand, with comprehensive project examples available.
