Selection of tower type

When selecting the type of tower, I chose a floating valve tower; however, the residence time never meets the required level – it’s too short. What can I do? Changing the width of the downcomer or the diameter of the tower doesn’t work. I seek advice
Can’t the other process parameters be adjusted? Such as reflux rate or top pressure, the temperature of the reboiler?

There must be a reason for choosing a particular type of tray; it is also necessary to consider other options that can meet the operating conditions required for such trays. Could other suitable types of trays be considered? These types of trays are efficient, but the conditions required for their use are also quite specific; it is important to determine whether those conditions can be met.
