I heard that there is a compound fertilizer manufacturer in Shandong that uses the traditional granulation process to produce particles with a structure similar to those made by high-tower granulation – in other words, each particle has holes running through it. I wonder if this is true. Could experts please explain what kind of formula is used and how the production process is controlled? I know that traditional methods can be used to produce transparent, white particles of sulfur-containing urea with a nitrogen content of 15–36%, but how is it possible to ensure that each particle has such holes?

We are familiar with granular high-nitrogen compound fertilizers and sulfur-containing urea; but how can particles with two symmetrical small cavities be created? I’m hearing about it for the first time; I’m paying attention.

It seems that some manufacturers are able to produce compound fertilizers that resemble diammonium fertilizers in appearance. I wonder if any experts can explain this
That’s amazing! High-tower fertilizer already has a slightly higher price, and by using this trick, it’s possible to pass off inferior products as good ones, thus earning extra profits!
For high-nitrogen fertilizer in rotary drums, by increasing the granulation temperature, it is possible to produce high-nitrogen fertilizer with small pores, just like the one produced in tower reactors. The small pores in high-tower fertilizer are created by the ammonia gas produced from the decomposition of urea at high temperatures; as this ammonia gas is released from within the granules, it forms small pores on the surface of those fertilizer particles. Similarly, in drum granulation, by increasing the granulation temperature to cause partial decomposition of urea, small pores are formed during storage.
The rotary drum high-nitrogen fertilizers I produced this year all have small holes.
