Successful commissioning of the trimellitic anhydride (TOX) main unit in Yankuang Lunan Chemical’s polyoxymethylene project – Author/Source: Shiliu Hua Jian; Date: 2020-07-17; Clicks: 10. On July 15, the EPC project for Yankuang Lunan Chemical’s 80,000-ton/year polyoxymethylene plant (with an initial capacity of 40,000 tons/year), which was undertaken by the Fifth Branch, saw successful commissioning of the trimellitic anhydride (TOX) main unit following the successful start-up of the formaldehyde production unit on May 31. High-purity trimellitic anhydride (TOX) was successfully produced as a result. Overcoming the various difficulties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the project team resumed work successfully on February 17. Despite the inability of managers from Hubei to arrive at the site, they not only had to carry out epidemic prevention measures but also worked overtime to meet the deadlines set by the client. Through tremendous efforts over nearly 5 months of continuous overtime, they finally managed to ensure that the main unit for producing trimethylolpropane (TOX) in the polyoxymethylene project could produce qualified products. This project is a key initiative for the transformation of old and new economic drivers in Shandong Province, as well as a key project related to high-end chemical products. The successful commissioning of the main production unit for trimethylolpropane (TOX) on this occasion has greatly boosted the morale of the project team members; it also represents a significant breakthrough for the company in the field of high-end polyoxymethylene.
Congratulations! What grade does the product from Yankuang Phase II correspond to?
