On the afternoon of May 25, the light boiling tower for Xinjiang Xinlianxin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 60,000 tons per year polyoxymethylene production project was lifted into place. As a key piece of equipment for the project, this tower weighs 98 tons; it was delivered to the site on May 2, and after 23 days of preparation work on site, its total lifting weight reached 120 tons. For the lifting of this equipment, a 500-ton crawler crane is used as the main crane, with a 135-ton crawler crane serving as an auxiliary crane. The lifting of the light boiling tower is a key focus as well as a major challenge in the installation work for this project. Due to the compact layout of the equipment, the limited space for lifting operations, difficulties in positioning the crane, and ongoing construction in the surrounding pipe galleries, lifting has become even more challenging. To ensure the safe and smooth lifting of the equipment, the project team attached great importance to this task, organized and coordinated efforts carefully, and conducted on-site discussions and consultations with the client, the supervision unit, and the lifting contractor. A scientific lifting plan was developed, and the foundation was prepared in advance to guarantee everything would go smoothly. At 17:18 on the 25th, following the lifting command, the light boiling tower was slowly lifted. Thanks to the joint efforts of everyone, by 18:30 the tower was successfully in place, and the lifting operation was completed successfully, laying a solid foundation for the full commencement of pipeline construction in the next stage. It is reported that polyoxymethylene is a high-tech, capital-intensive advanced engineering plastic with high added value; its production and processing involve a high level of technical expertise and economic value, and it features high efficiency in resource conversion. The polyoxymethylene production project with an annual output of 60,000 tons, built by Xinjiang Xinlianxin Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. at an investment of 1.69 billion yuan, covers a construction area of 126,000 square meters. Construction began in April 2023, and completion and commissioning are expected by the end of October this year. The products of this project are used in fields such as electronics and electrical equipment, household appliances, and automobiles. It represents an important strategy for the company to convert its coal resources efficiently and pursue development in the field of fine chemicals. Once operational, this project will help reduce energy consumption in the industrial park, optimize the industrial structure, and enable the company to expand and strengthen its business operations. It also plays a role in guiding Manas County in the development of strategic emerging industries such as new energy and new materials.
