I am currently working on a research project focused on the preparation of polymethoxymethane for use as a diesel additive. The raw materials come from methanol-derived products such as formaldehyde and polyformaldehyde. I would appreciate any advice from experts, or any exchanges of information from those with relevant experience
Polyoxymethylene dimethyl ether is currently considered the most promising diesel additive, featuring a high cetane number and high oxygen content; when blended into diesel, it can improve combustion efficiency. To reduce pollutant emissions, the most important advantage is that there is no need to modify the engine.
It’s a very difficult task; conducting an analysis and inspection is truly a huge challenge
