It was learned on October 21, 2011, that recently, the first batch of 110 tons of polyoxymethylene products produced by Shenhua Ningmei Group’s polyoxymethylene plant were sold to Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is understood that the 60,000-ton per year polyoxymethylene production project of Shenhua Ningmei Group is the largest fine chemical project of its kind in China, as planned and constructed by the group. The project covers an area of 12.9 hectares, with an estimated investment of 1.837 billion yuan. The project primarily uses methanol as a raw material to produce polyoxymethylene engineering plastics. Construction of this project began in November 2008, and on September 25, 2011, qualified polyoxymethylene products were produced, marking the start of the trial production phase; to date, 400 tons of qualified products have been manufactured.
What process is being used – traditional polyoxymethylene polymerization with another monomer, or some other technology? Please help! There are also books on the polyoxymethylene manufacturing process; please introduce them, thank you!

Hehe, the silver-based process is used for the production of formaldehyde, while pentaerythritol is made from ethylene glycol and formaldehyde. Then triomethylenetetramine and pentaerythritol are combined in a polymerization process to produce polyformaldehyde. Anyway, the Ningmei Polyformaldehyde Plant has managed to get through the winter without any major problems – it went pretty smoothly!
