China’s largest polyoxymethylene production facility was built and put into operation at the Yuntianhua facility in Chongqing

At 16:50 on the afternoon of April 19, 2010, Unit B of the polyoxymethylene production facility at the Chongqing branch of Yunnan Yuntianhua Co., Ltd. successfully produced qualified polyoxymethylene products, marking the complete establishment and commissioning of China’s largest polyoxymethylene production base at Yunnan Yuntianhua Co., Ltd. The polyoxymethylene project of Yuntianhua’s Chongqing branch began construction in April 2007. After more than a year of work, on September 9, 2008, the 20,000-ton/year polyoxymethylene production unit was successfully commissioned, and polyoxymethylene products were produced; thus, the first phase of the project entered trial production successfully. In line with the overall objectives of the project construction, the Chongqing branch, by drawing on the experience gained from the first phase of construction, adopted control measures such as overall planning, prioritization of key tasks, and focused breakthroughs. It also worked to innovate construction management methods, optimize project organization, and strengthen control over construction safety, quality, and progress. Following the successful one-time commissioning of Unit C of Phase 2, with a capacity of 20,000 tons per year, on November 24, 2009, another successful one-time commissioning was achieved on April 19, 2010, for Unit B of Phase 2, also with a capacity of 20,000 tons per year, enabling the successful production of polyoxymethylene products. The successful one-time commissioning of Unit B in Phase 2 and the production of polyoxymethylene products mark the completion of all construction tasks for Yunnan Yuntianhua Co., Ltd.’s Chongqing branch’s 60,000-ton/year polyoxymethylene project, with polyoxymethylene products being produced successfully. It is worth noting that Yuntianhua’s polyoxymethylene production facility in Chongqing has thus become China’s largest polyoxymethylene production site. The group’s polyoxymethylene production capacity has risen to 90,000 tons per year, ranking it second in Asia and first in the whole of China.
