Vortex pump Section 1: Characteristics of vortex pumps 1. Low specific speed. 2. Simple structure, light weight, small size, and easy to manufacture and maintain. 3. Open-type vortex pumps have self-priming capability ； 4. The H-Q curve drops sharply, allowing for a high head to be obtained at low flow rates ； P-Q curve decline shape ； 5. Low efficiency, generally not exceeding 50% ； 6. Poor cavitation resistance ； 7. The radial and circumferential clearances between the impeller and the pump body must be strictly controlled (it is not suitable for transporting liquids containing solid particles or liquids with high viscosity) ； ) 8. The impeller is subjected to unbalanced radial and axial forces ； Section 2: Structure of Vortex Pumps. The shapes of the blades include radially straight blades, forward-tilted straight blades, backward-tilted straight blades, backward curvature, and forward curvature. Classified by leaf shape, the leaf forms include radially straight leaves and radially curved leaves. Section 3: Applications of vortex pumps – Small devices, small agricultural facilities.
