1. I didn’t understand your question. 2. It cools the contact surface between the rotating and stationary rings. 3. The lubricating oil is in the oil tank, where it cools and lubricates the bearings. 4. There is leakage from the mechanical seal; since both the rotating ring and the shaft are in motion, the liquid is surely thrown out as a result.
