The workshop where I work is one that produces oil black. There is a pump there called a saponification feeding pump. The properties of the material handled by this pump are as follows: its pH value is around 8; water and the material are mixed together. The pump operates at a pressure of 7 kilograms, and the temperature is 126°C. The pump is made of stainless steel, and its impellers are of the semi-open type. The mechanical seal of the pump leaks frequently; it was repaired on June 1st, and it started leaking again on June 4th (the pump is used intermittently, not continuously). I would be extremely grateful if experts could help me analyze the reasons for this issue! ! !
What flushing plan? Since the medium is a mixture of water and material particles, it is best to use the PLAN32 approach, with clean water as the flushing fluid.
The pump has also experienced the issue of the impeller coming loose, as well as wear on the walls of the impeller
Is the impeller coaxial with the motor and things like that?
Why does the impeller fall off? The impeller is screwed on directly with threads; was it reversed when the pump was stopped? Is it the thread at the shaft end connected by a key that has broken?
There are two issues: 1. Is the mechanical seal modular or non-modular? 2. Where is the leak? Is it at the mechanical seal and the pump cover end face, that is, the gland, or between the mechanical seal sleeve and the shaft?
There is no stoppage in operation, nor any breaks; the fastening nuts on the shaft ends have not fallen off or become loose.

Could it be that the temperature of the material is too high – 126 degrees? Firstly, the material is at boiling point, which may lead to cavitation; secondly, thermal expansion and contraction can cause the tightening nuts to loosen
