I would like to ask everyone: what is the purpose of installing an accumulator in the pipeline of a diaphragm metering pump? Also, does the pointer on the pressure gauge attached to the accumulator remain stable at one specific pressure while the metering pump is in operation, or does it fluctuate? Is the oil leakage from the metering pump at the black rubber area due to a damaged seal, as indicated by the red circle in the picture?
The accumulator stabilizes the pressure, but the outlet pressure may fluctuate; after all, it is a positive-displacement pump that could leak or have issues with proper sealing
The accumulator maintains a stable pressure, but it is not a panacea; the outlet pressure can still fluctuate. -----There is a possibility of leakage, or thread leakage, which can be addressed by using tape.
It’s mainly about stabilizing pressure; our device also uses this principle, inflating air from above to overcome resistance with softness

There is pulsating shock at the outlet of the reciprocating pump, along with significant pressure fluctuations. The purpose of the accumulator is to reduce these pulsations and make the pressure more stable, but it cannot eliminate them entirely; some pressure fluctuations are normal.
