For ordinary centrifugal pumps, the structure is simple; abnormal noises from the bearing housing are usually caused by bearing problems, inaccurate alignment, or excessive shaft clearance. A large axial clearance indicates a bearing problem. For analysis, there are the following ones. Reason 1: Excessive load. Poor installation (non-linearity), torque loads, foreign object intrusion, water ingress. Poor lubrication, inappropriate lubricant, and improper bearing clearance. Poor precision of the bearing housing, uneven rigidity of the bearing housing, large shaft deflection, as well as rust, erosion, scratches, and indentations (surface deformation phenomena) all contribute to this issue. Reason 2: The lubricant is not suitable. A foreign object has entered the lubricant. Poor lubricants cause surface roughness. The surface finish of the mated rolling parts is poor. Reason 3: Excessive load, excessive preloading. Poor lubrication. Foreign object bitten in. Tilt of the inner and outer rings, deflection of the shaft. Poor precision of the shaft and bearing housing. Reason 4: It was struck during installation. The load is too high. Improper use such as dropping. Reason 5: Foreign objects got caught during the lubrication process. Dew forms due to moisture in the air. Poor lubrication.
