What is an appropriate distance between the submersible pump and the bottom of the tank? In other words, is there any standard specifying the liquid level height that a submersible pump cannot reach? When installing a submersible pump in a storage tank, what depth is appropriate?
A normal installation is sufficient; theoretically, the lower it is, the better, as this allows for more extraction of the liquid material and results in less residue.
There are no specific regulations; if it is necessary to clean the tank, a lower value can be used.
Can’t the submersion depth of a submersible pump be chosen arbitrarily? Select within the specification range?
Ask the manufacturer – each one designs it differently, and you may also need to install an inlet filter.
The lower, the better, so that the material inside the tank can be drawn out more completely.
Around 100–200 mm is sufficient.
