In the calculations related to calcium-based desulfurization, when the project is small and the circulation volume is low, it may be possible to use one pump to serve two spray layers. Since I haven’t done the calculations yet, I would like to ask everyone: 1. Is the flow rate of this pump equal to the flow rate of a single layer multiplied by 2? 2. How should the head of this pump be determined? Is it simply to take the higher one? Should we add the friction losses along the two loop pipes together and then include the height of the higher layer in the calculation? 3. The diameter of the inlet pipe to the circulation pump is calculated based on the flow rate of 2 spray layers; for the outlet, the diameter of the main outlet pipe is first determined using the flow rate of 2 layers, and then the diameters of the two branch pipes are calculated based on the flow rate of 1 layer each? Everyone, please help me check – is it correct to calculate using this simple multiple relationship? Thank you all.

Circulation pumps generally do not come with two spray layers, as the head pressures of the upper and lower layers are not compatible, which leads to uneven flow in the spray layers
