I’m seeking advice from fellow sailors: what is the purpose of the pipeline from the outlet to the inlet of a multi-stage centrifugal pump, as shown in the diagram?

I have a grade 6 centrifugal pump in my company, and I’m not sure what these pipes are for; I’ve come here to ask the experts among you for help
Some are used for balancing, some for self-cleaning, and some for starting the venting process.
Someone in my unit said it is used as an amplifier; is there such a claim?
It measures the inlet and outlet pressures. I can’t see where the pressure gauge valve in the middle is connected.
The middle one is connected to the thick tube on the other side, and that thick tube is also connected to the inlet and outlet
That one is connected to the balance tube, used to monitor the pressure in the balance tube. Only the three pipes are not connected; they are used solely for monitoring the inlet and outlet pressures as well as the pressure in the balance pipe.
If necessary, connect a pressure gauge to see the pressure level more intuitively!
