The inlet temperature of the hot oil pump at the bottom of the tower where I am working is around 230 degrees Celsius. The mechanical seals, both those at the connected ends and those at the unconnected ends of the pump, are flushed with deionized water. I would like to know exactly which part of the mechanical seals is flushed with deionized water What is its role? Please, expert!

Deionized water is used for quenching, to flush the back side of the seal. The corresponding flushing plan is PLAN62: it connects to the Quench port (Q) on the sealed end cover and is discharged through the Drain port (D) at the bottom. It helps to reduce temperature and prevent coking
Deionized water must not be mixed with hot oil, and obviously it cannot be used to wash the mating surfaces of mechanical seals! Rather, it is connected to the static ring end cover for ~rapid cooling~, and is discharged through the ~drain port~ in the opposite direction, thereby reducing the temperature of the mechanical seal end cover!
At 230°C, using normal-temperature deionized water is only possible with PLAN62~~~ at the rear of the cooling static ring~~~ But I think a more reliable solution is steam condensate~~~ What was said about using bubbles makes a lot of sense~~~
