The H and W witness points indicated on the ITP of our German fan differ significantly from the conventional understanding: the hold point is noted as \"production continues to run\", while the W point is noted as \"stops\". Dear sea friends, are there any relevant international standards?

I’m not aware of any mandatory requirements in that regard, but since the manufacturer has ISO9001 certification, they certainly have quality documents, and it is generally required that they provide such documents. Each factory has its own quality control documents that specify the R, W, H, S inspection points for each process, including definitions of these terms. It is best to conduct a preliminary ITP review before signing the contract; otherwise, any disputes that arise later regarding a particular contract can be very troublesome, especially when it comes to costs. During the actual implementation of the project, the buyer’s quality inspection department will review these documents from the factory; if any objections arise, the factory can be requested to make corrections until an agreement is reached. Once that is done, the inspections will be carried out in accordance with the ITP. There is really a huge difference in the understanding of ITP among these manufacturers: those at point H can still continue production – so what does \"Hold\" even mean in that case? Point W refers to an inspection that is scheduled in advance; however, if the party concerned does not show up by the deadline, it does not prevent the next steps from proceeding – on the contrary, those steps should be halted. If it is during the ITP review phase, the application should be sent back for resubmission
The difference in this H-point is way too large. . . It’s okay; the annotations take precedence.
