Alignment of single-stage centrifugal pumps by mechanical repair: A dial indicator is used to check from the motor side toward the pump; the gasket screws on the pump side are tightened. I would like to ask a senior about the opening position in the horizontal direction? Also, is this way of timing appropriate?

To convert one end into a rigid connection, one can remove the diaphragm and secure the intermediate section so that it doesn’t move. Actually, alignment is not allowed when using a diaphragm.
