Cranking issue of cantilever centrifugal pumps

When turning the crank, rotating counterclockwise is much more important than rotating clockwise. Why can it be rotated clockwise with just one hand, but counterclockwise requires two hands? Is there any impact? Pump model IH100-65-250.
The possible reason is that the direction in which the pump is turned is the direction in which it operates, and the pump is doing work while it is being turned.
It is recommended to turn the pump in accordance with its direction of rotation; otherwise, there is a lower chance that the impeller lock nut might loosen due to turning the pump in the opposite direction.
Generally, it is difficult to turn the coupling by hand because there is no liquid lubrication on the friction surfaces of the mechanical seal, which causes sticking; however, things return to normal once the liquid starts flowing.
The primary criterion for checking the turning of the shaft should be the absence of any noticeable friction; it’s better if it can be done easily and with little effort. The shaft may be heavy, but there must be no scraping or rubbing
The pump of this model should rotate in a clockwise direction; this explains why turning it clockwise is easier than turning it counter-clockwise.
