The door opens from the outside, but the windows open from the inside (the pump room only has windows on one side). One expert pointed out that windows should be changed to outward-opening styles. I would like to ask, do the windows of this vacuum pump room need to be changed to outward opening? (Since it has been built, it is more troublesome to change it.) The main basis that can be quoted is:: 1. Since this standard is a recommended standard, and the outward-opening windows are considered as emergency exits, since the vacuum pump room of this project is small and unattended, it has two exits, and the doors are all outward-opening, which can meet emergency needs, so the outward-opening windows do not need to be rectified. 2. Interpretation of Article 3.6.2/3.6.3 of "Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings" (2018 Edition) (GB50016-2014): For example, doors and windows used for pressure relief can be fixed with wedge-shaped wooden blocks... The doors and windows can be opened outwards. In this way, once an explosion occurs, due to the high indoor pressure, the small hardware on the originally closed doors and windows may be damaged by the shock wave, and the doors and windows can automatically open or fall off to achieve the purpose of pressure relief. Personally, I think this article mainly considers the pressure relief of the factory building, and the opening of doors and windows is not written in the article. It is just an example listed in the explanation. The pump room is originally a lightweight structure (steel structure + fireproof material), and the wall can also be used as a pressure relief facility, so the windows do not need to be modified.
