For bearing housings with oil slinger rings and those without such rings, such as the common structure of AY oil pump bearing housings, is there any difference in the oil level between the two? Do the oil levels need to come into contact with the balls? How effective is this oil slinger ring? Any expert with experience in this area who can answer would be greatly appreciated
With an oil slinger, the oil level should be lower than that without one; generally, the oil level should be maintained at 1/3 to 2/3 of the height of the bearing housing.
Is the oil level determined by the height of the bearing housing? Also, even with an oil slinger, shouldn’t the oil level at least come into contact with the balls? I still don’t quite understand
““Oil slinger”? It should be called an oil ring, right? It would be best to send a video so that we can have an accurate definition and a proper discussion. What is discussed are the principles, while what is followed are the procedures. One cannot blindly use the results of discussions as a means for implementation.

As I understand it, the structure of the oil slinger helps with better heat dissipation of the oil; since it’s a slinger, it certainly doesn’t come into contact with the oil level
The oil slinger serves only as an auxiliary lubrication mechanism; whether it is present or not, the oil level must still come into contact with the bearing balls
I hadn’t paid attention to this issue before; after checking some of the drawings for the AY pump, it’s clear that the oil level is very low – the balls don’t come into contact with the oil, and the bearings rely entirely on the slinger ring for lubrication
