I recently encountered a problem with a slurry pump for a new project; it has been in use for about three months. The sheath always gets punctured at the third section (the lowest part of the sheath); wear is not very severe in other areas. Currently, three out of the eight units have experienced wear-induced punctures. Could anyone analyze why this area is most prone to puncturing? Are there any good ways to avoid or slow it down? I’m now more worried that the other units are also on the verge of perforation. .
There could be a problem with the water supply! It is recommended to talk to the manufacturer to modify the model! Or switch to another manufacturer

That area must have been worn smooth by the mine slurry; it’s very shiny and smooth, likely due to the action of fine, hard particles. Please check whether the pump cover has any irregular shapes or additional circulation holes at this angle, and whether it might be the result of heavy mineral slurry depositing there and causing repeated erosion. The direction of pump rotation can help determine the angle where erosion is most severe. There isn’t enough information about the pump to make a judgment

Model: 50ZD-500, Q=75 m3/h, H=35 m, n=980 rpm, P=45 KW. It is a slurry pump with front and rear guards as well as a protective casing
