The working principle of a water jet pump is that water, which has a certain pressure, is ejected at high speed through a nozzle into the suction chamber; this converts the pressure energy of the water into kinetic energy, resulting in a high-speed jet； The gas in the suction chamber is forced to mix with it by a high-speed jet, forming a gas-liquid mixture that enters the diffuser. This reduces the pressure in the suction chamber, creating a vacuum. In the expansion section of the diffuser, the kinetic energy of the mixed jet is converted into pressure energy; as a result, the velocity decreases while the pressure increases, causing the gas to be further compressed. It is then discharged along with water outside the pump, where the gas and water are separated in a water tank. The gas is released into the atmosphere, while the water is recycled using a pump, thus repeating the process to achieve vacuum creation. The nozzle of a single-stage water jet pump can be a single-nozzle structure consisting of a converging nozzle, or it can be a multi-nozzle structure with multiple orifices provided in a plate.
