Parameters: Maximum flow rate of 8 m³/h, head of 30 m, suction lift of ≥6 m. Transport medium: concentrated sludge that is fluidous, with a solid content of 2%~4%, and contains organic acidic substances as well as organic solvents. With the parameters as above, I seek help from fellow users! ! What type of pump should be chosen? Do you have any relevant experience in using it?
Slurry pumps, mud pumps, and ordinary centrifugal pumps may be used, depending on the solid particles present, whether operation is continuous, and the operating conditions, etc
In non-continuous operation conditions, the solid particles may be crystalline substances, in which case centrifugal pumps are likely not suitable.
Use a corrosion- and wear-resistant slurry pump with an open impeller and a seal belt that is flushed; additionally, a siphon tank is required to address the issue of suction.
The flow-through components of this pump suffer severe wear and erosion, resulting in a very short expected service life for the entire unit. What’s feared is not its operation but rather its shutdown – when it stops, sediment builds up, blockages occur, the unit gets stuck, or it dries out or freezes
This solid phase concentration is not very high; centrifugal pumps with wide flow channels that are not prone to clogging can be used, though their efficiency is somewhat low
Will the siphon tank lose its effectiveness due to the deposition of mud drawn up?
I’d like to ask the experts: can positive displacement pumps such as screw pumps or diaphragm pumps be used?
The flow rate is not high; a UHB mortar pump will work, and it is wear-resistant
