As shown in the picture, this type of pump uses double-end mechanical seals and leaks at the left end sealing ring when static pressure is applied. Can anyone help to find out the reason? Thank you!
Is the flatness of the end face up to standard?
This is a packaged machine seal. When it is not rotating, the leakage should be due to the broken surface of the O-ring. You can also adjust the compression amount of the machine seal spring in case it is an end surface problem. However, this kind of container seal should be a qualified product before leaving the factory and should not leak. If there is little leakage, just let it rotate like that. Sometimes, if it does, it won't leak. There are also cases where the pump stops spinning when it is started. The machine seal water should not be opened too large. If it is too large, the end face will be pushed open and water will leak. As for the poster, if the seal of this kind of container is broken, you still need to repair it yourself. If it is broken, we will replace it with a new one. If it leaks, we will adjust the spring compression.
Looking at your assembly diagram, will the positioning joint have some interference with the floating performance of the outer moving ring? The outer static ring is directly mounted on the gland. This is not good, and it is inconvenient to process. It is also inconvenient to replace the static ring in the future. Also check the flatness and calculate the sealing parameters!
We made it new. We will test the static pressure leakage and then check the flatness of the end face.
The O-rings are all sealed, and the leakage is from the sealing surface at the left end.
