Pump shaft rusting issue

I recently encountered a rusting problem with a pump shaft; the shaft rusted due to prolonged exposure to mist while the pump was in standby mode. Do any of you have experience dealing with similar issues?
Additionally, the corrosion occurred in the pump while it was in standby mode (at room temperature); the operating temperature of the pump is over 100 degrees.
Which specific pump are you using? Pump shafts are also made from many different materials!
Where on the pump shaft is there corrosion? Generally, a protective coating or sealant is applied. Hehe, it depends on the situation.
If it’s a centrifugal pump and the exposed parts are rusty, grind them down and then apply some rust preventive oil； For the exposed parts, it’s sufficient to do this in conjunction with the mating parts·
May I also ask what type of anti-corrosion coating is used on your end? Our pump rusted during the standby period; the water leaking from the mechanical seal was at a high temperature, creating a steamy environment in the bearing chamber that led to corrosion. During operation, the medium inside the pump is hot water at a temperature of over 100 degrees.
