As mentioned, there are many problems with the high-speed pump in our unit. There are also many wearing parts and the maintenance is relatively heavy. I want to change the rotary casing pump. I don’t know if there are other problems with the rotary casing pump. Please give me your advice.
Caution is advised. In fact, if the high-speed pump is properly selected, normal operation is still possible. The key is that operators have a higher sense of responsibility in operations and inspections
The efficiency of the rotary casing pump is higher than that of the high-speed pump.
The medium in the rotor cavity of the rotary casing pump is not drained cleanly, and the inlet and outlet flanges need to be removed during maintenance. Cavitation performance is poor.
From a purely maintenance perspective, the maintenance of rotary casing pumps is relatively simple, while the structure of high-speed pumps is more complex, requiring higher levels of maintenance personnel. But generally speaking, there are only a few manufacturers of high-speed pumps. If there is no big deviation in the selection, long-term operation should be no problem.
Look at the medium composition and NPSH; For clean media and devices with relatively rich cavitation margin, rotary casing pumps can be considered. After all, they have the characteristics of simple assembly and disassembly, few wearing parts, high efficiency, and stable operation.
Compared with other high-pressure pumps, the advantages of rotary casing pumps are more obvious. 1 Structurally, the structure is simple and the volume is small. 2. It runs smoothly without pulsation and the pressure is stable during use. The flow head is easy to adjust. 3. In terms of maintenance, the mechanical seal only bears the inlet pressure and is not easily damaged. Easy to disassemble and assemble. Long life. 4. Good cavitation performance and high efficiency. Usually around 60%.
High-speed pumps require a lot of maintenance and are troublesome to operate.
High efficiency, stable operation and simple maintenance are the outstanding advantages of rotary casing pumps compared with high-speed pumps.
Rotary injection (rotary shell pump) has higher efficiency, stable operation, simple performance adjustment, longer bearing life, fewer wearing parts, and easy maintenance.
