After the shielded pump started up, the outlet pressure gauge showed 1.5 MPa. The rated current was 201; after startup, the current decreased from 200 and kept falling until it reached 150, after which it remained at that level for 1 to 2 seconds before the pump stopped working. Could you analyze what might be the reason for this?
A decrease in current indicates a reduction in flow rate, and such a reduction can lead to poor lubrication of the bearings. Shielded pumps are generally used to transport light hydrocarbon compounds; if the filter becomes clogged or there is an excess of gas in the medium, the bearing temperature rises and the pump shuts down.

If so, it means the pump is operating in a critical cavitation condition, with cavitation worsening over time, the head dropping, the shaft power decreasing continuously, and ultimately leading to a low-load trip protection. 1. Please check whether the net positive suction head of the device and that of the pump are appropriate. 2. Also examine whether there is any blockage in the cooling circulation circuit inside the pump, and whether the heat generated by the shield casing is not being removed in a timely manner. 3. If none of these issues exist, then there is a problem with the pump selection.
I still think the possibility of the medium vaporizing is a bit higher!

First, what is the cause of the pump stopping? Based on your description, it’s unlikely that the stop was caused by overcurrent protection; I think it’s more probable that the bearings seized due to a lack of fluid.
The actual maximum current you’re seeing isn’t even reaching the rated current value, so it shouldn’t be a current overload protection issue, right? Is it severe vaporization that has triggered the bearing’s overheat protection, or in more serious cases, cavitation? :)
