The necessity of three-stage filtration

Equipment lubrication requires 5 fixes and 3 filtrations. Is the current requirement for three-stage filtration, with 60-80-100 mesh sizes, really necessary?
The more detailed this requirement is, the better, especially as it is quite important for the long-term use of the equipment. If this task is done properly, equipment inspections might even be unnecessary. Don’t you think that’s important?:)

It is highly necessary; impurities in oil are one of the major causes of lubrication failure
Both forced lubrication and hydraulic systems require this.
We hardly mention three-stage filtration these days; oil mist lubrication is used now
