The gear pump trips due to overcurrent as soon as it is started; the motor works fine when tested individually, and turning the pump shaft also shows no problems. What could be the cause?
No, the two pumps have the same motor, and the other one can operate normally!
Is the interdental wear severe? Is the bearing overheating?
This is probably an issue with the intermediate coupling or the gears
First, check the motor side for reasons; verify whether the motor is cooling properly； Second, check whether the outlet pipeline is unobstructed ； Third, re-center and adjust, checking the motor-pump coaxiality!
Is the pump outlet valve open? Or is the outlet pipeline blocked? Is there overpressure?
Check the temperature of the pump and whether there are any issues with the motor wiring
Export fully open, import slightly open, start up
Check item by item: 1. Whether there is any debris between the pump casing and gears, and whether there is a feeling of scraping when turning the pump shaft. Methods: Clean it or install an imported filter, and purge it with a pump for a short period of time. 2. You can ask an electrician about the error code; refer to the specified parameters such as the rated current to find the relevant information. Are there any issues with the control cabinet? 3. Are there any problems with the maintenance and installation of the pumps?
I also think there’s a problem with the outlet valve of this pump – it isn’t fully open, which leads to overpressure and overload
