A pipeline pump is being designed. For now, a temporary water source is being used, with an inlet pressure of around 10 meters. But once the water treatment plant is built, it will be 70 meters higher than the pump room. Will this cause any problems? Could the inlet pressure become too high?
Check the maximum inlet pressure allowed by the pump
First, please clarify whether this pump is still needed to provide pressure after the water plant is built. If it is still needed after completion, in most cases the water pump will need to be replaced with a high-pressure seal, and it is also necessary to consider whether the material of the water pump can withstand sufficient pressure
Consult the pump manufacturer; considering installing a buffer tank in front of the pump is an option；
