Does the front partition of the WFB self-priming pump impeller (the partition separating the suction chamber from the discharge chamber) have vanes?

Since there are no guide vanes, stainless steel welding rods (of type 304 or 316) can be used for simple repairs; however, attention must be paid to the thickness of the weld metal. This area is difficult to grind, and excessive weld metal can affect the gap between the impeller and the partition, leading to wear on the impeller. It is necessary to machine the impeller hub or increase the thickness of the gasket to raise the position of the impeller and prevent wear between it and the surrounding components. Another method is to measure the maximum diameter D of the eroded area, the diameter d of the impeller inlet, and the thickness H of the partition; then a ring with dimensions φD×φd×H is fabricated using a lathe, which functions as the mouth ring of the centrifugal pump. The eroded area is polished to create a circular hole with a maximum diameter of D; the ring is then fitted into this hole, ensuring as much interference as possible between them. The ring is welded to the partition using stainless steel welding rods (of type 304 or 316). It should be inspected every month, and there should be no problems after using it for a few months. The downside is that the holes in the partition are not aligned with those of the impeller, which may result in high noise levels during operation
