This integrated internal turret is used for the first time in China; it weighs 1,500 tons and can operate at a water depth of 240 meters. Since the project began in March 2022, aspects such as material procurement, personnel allocation, and on-site progress have been significantly affected by the pandemic on multiple occasions. All parties involved in the project overcame these uncontrollable factors, made effective efforts to prepare and organize resources, and did their best to create favorable conditions for construction. They continued to work hard despite the pandemic and the Spring Festival to ensure that the project’s progress was not affected ； At the same time, in the face of challenges such as an extremely tight project schedule, numerous confined spaces, a large volume of alloy steel welding work, high difficulties in machining, and major changes to the design processes, all relevant parties demonstrated a high level of responsibility, worked closely together, and worked day and night. The project team took various measures, organized expert meetings, actively optimized the construction plans, adjusted the sequence of construction tasks, and innovatively adopted the submerged arc surfacing technique for alloy steel, thereby significantly improving production efficiency and reducing the construction time – thus creating favorable conditions for completing the project on time and to the required quality standards.
