The design institute advises you: the pump outlet pipe is generally one size larger than both the pump inlet and outlet pipes. In principle, the same level is best. However, to save costs, pump manufacturers usually reduce the diameter of the pump’s inlet and outlet. Generally, it is not common to see pump inlets and outlets being larger than the pipes. It is generally recommended that the increase in the diameter of the pump’s inlet and outlet should not exceed 2 stages. Otherwise, the pump inlet and outlet diameters should be increased.

I asked the group leader to give two cigarettes, and it was resolved on the same day. What else is there to say?
The operation manual for my pump states that the diameter of the inlet pipe should be at least two sizes larger than that of the pump’s inlet, in order to prevent insufficient material intake and the resulting cavitation.
