Recently, the Beijing Aerospace Power Research Institute, which belongs to the Sixth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, delivered 22 high-speed pumps to a project in South Korea. This marks the first time that high-speed pumps produced by this institute have been used in a new large-scale petrochemical project in South Korea. This project is the largest investment in South Korea’s refining and petrochemical industry; once completed, it will become one of the world’s largest ethylene production facilities. It includes large-scale production units such as steam cracking units, TC2C process units, and polymer production units, and holds significant influence within the industry. The two major South Korean engineering companies responsible for the project construction have a vast customer base worldwide. The successful delivery of high-speed pumps by the Beijing Aerospace Power Research Institute has broken the monopoly held by Western high-speed pump manufacturers in new large-scale petrochemical projects in South Korea. It has expanded the scope of overseas project applications for the institute’s high-speed pumps, strengthened cooperation with leading South Korean engineering companies, and laid a solid foundation for expanding into overseas markets.
