The magnetic pump itself has no leakage points; however, if it runs for a long time, leakage may occur from the worn areas of the inner magnetic sleeve. Our company has not encountered the situation you mentioned before; it’s just an inference on my part, but I hope it can be helpful to you

Most magnetic drive pumps are used to drive centrifugal pumps. In the case of centrifugal pumps, operating for extended periods with the outlet valve closed causes kinetic energy to be converted into heat, which accumulates within the pump and heats the fluid inside it. When the temperature reaches a certain level, it can cause changes in the gaps within the pump’s structure, leading to damage to its components. As for the leakage, it’s less important. As long as the housing is not worn through, there will be basically no leakage; P
A short-term shutdown will not cause leakage, while a long-term shutdown can damage the pump. It is recommended to add a return pipe; in the event of a fault, it should shut off, while the return pipe should stay open.
Pumps will heat up over time, and eventually cavitation will occur, causing the pump to break down
A return line also needs to be designed at the outlet of the magnetic centrifugal pump to protect it, thereby preventing the medium’s temperature from rising and causing damage to the pump.
